I am Dr. Vignesh Sakthivel, a psychiatrist with extensive experience across multiple countries. I hold the FRANZCP, MRCPsych, CCT in General Adult and Addiction Psychiatry, MSc in Addiction Studies, MDCH, and MBSCH, which have equipped me with a broad and sophisticated skill set.

My career began in India in 2003 and continued to flourish in the UK, where I obtained my MRCPsych and achieved dual accreditation (CCT) in General Adult and Addiction Psychiatry by 2011. Since relocating to Australia in 2022, I have earned the FRANZCP qualification and continue to offer exceptional care.

My academic achievements include a research-intensive Master of Science (MSc) in International Addiction Studies from the University of Adelaide, Virginia Commonwealth University, and King’s College London. I have gained substantial experience across diverse clinical settings, including Acute Psychiatric Wards, Community Psychiatric Teams, Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), and Rehabilitation Psychiatry.

My expertise encompasses mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and psychotic disorders. I have a particular focus on adult ADHD, where I am proactive in diagnosis and management to improve patient outcomes.
