About

I am a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and hold the Australian specialist registration in general practice. I have been working in Melbourne as a general practitioner since November 2015.

I am a GP provider of psychological treatment. I am trained in Focused cognitive behavioural psychotherapy under Royal Australian College for General Practitioners. It helps me to make and maintain a positive and effective therapeutic relationship with the patients, who accept me as someone they can trust. This approach also motivates my patients to follow up on their medical issues.

In addition, I am a cross-cultural psychotherapist working with immigrants and couples from different cultural backgrounds.

I am an emotional-focused couple’s therapist and a member of Melbourne emotional focused couple’s therapists (where I did my training) and international group of emotional-focused couple’s therapists.

I was involved in the Victorian Doctor In-school program, a state program supporting physical and mental well-being of secondary school students, working in Hume Secondary School from June 2018 to December 2020. It gave me a great opportunity to work with children and adolescents.

I studied theory of mind and theory to practice of psychoanalysis in Melbourne Institute for Psychoanalysis for 2 years (started 2013). This followed by a course in modern psychoanalysis in Boston Institute for Psychoanalysis (4 semesters). This gave me a great insight about cross-cultural psychotherapy and different approaches to therapy in general. I was also trained in interpersonal psychoanalytical approach as part of intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy program and topic-oriented psychotherapy program in White Alanson Institute for Psychoanalysis in New York.
